This hostel is good considering the cheapness. Good English-speaking staff, no complications, comfortable beds, clean towels and a kitchen with free coffee. Bathrooms could be cleaner and the living room smells really bad. Also, when it was raining, it started dripping from the ceiling in the hallway and in the kitchen. Overall, considering very low prices, I didn't really expect luxury, so I was quite satisfied.
If you need a cheap hostel that might be a good option. However, it's relatively far from the center, if you don't know the surroundings you will need to take a bus. The toilets and showers were a bit dirty, but not a big deal. On the other side, each guest gets a locker with its own key and the beds are really comfortable. 3/5.
Street parking available in front of the building and the Hostel in on the third floor. The rooms are clean and I had a great view. The price is super cheap. It is not in the center of the Old Town but I only had to walk a few blocks to get there and it is in a pretty interesting neighborhood with stone streets. There is a nice kitchenette with large fridge, utensils and microwave also a large TV room. It is an inexpensive Hostel so if you were expecting luxury and ambience you will be disappointed. If you have been around you will appreciate the kind, helpful staff and clean sheets. The bathrooms had kind of a gross-mildew smell but they are kept fairly clean.
I have stayed there 2 weeks in 8 people room.
Pluses: low cost, nice staff, new, fresh rooms, kitchen, bathrooms in old industrial building, rooms very simple furnished-its enough for me. Nice kitchen and relax room, only one hostel in Wro located very close to centre (15min walk) with a lot of parking places, close to bus stop from airport, Reception opened 24hs .dirty, dirty, dirty!!! I guess, the bathrooms have been cleaned once a week up, every day it was bigger challenge to manage the bathroom use, it was just discusting! lockers covered by dust, table in the kitchen an relax room very dirty, I havent got the towel, staff dont care of bed covers, they are not fresh (other roommates seats on free beds and spoil the covers), also towels takes dust lieing a weeks on free beds.Tęczowa street might look not safe after dark, but its caused by its industrial character, there is no lift and the hostel is located on 2nd floor of old, high, industrial building
The room we stayed in was extremely clean; there were no problems with the availability or cleaniness of the bathrooms, either, which was a big plus! The staff was nice and didn't mind us coming late at night; there was free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee as well, and it's only a 20min walk from the main square.
Situated on the top floor of an old building, you walk in through the doors and notice how new and clean everything looks. It shares the floor with a karate school but no grunts, groans and screams intrude into the rooms. I left Dom Turystyczny a similar priced hostel nearby after one night because it was a dump, so this place came up smelling like roses. There is a mixture of dormitory rooms with shared bathroom facilities as well as individual rooms with en suites. Also there is a reasonable area to prepare meals, make coffee etc as well as a common room to put your butt down. The individual rooms are fairly basic, but modern and fresh, the beds are comfortable. I stayed 6 nights and if your room needs cleaning you have to do it yourself....a minor downside. The staff whilst pleasant enough were somewhat vague in their knowledge of the direction to attractions in Wroclaw, or facilities a traveller might need.... ie an Internet cafe with a printer, where to hire a bicycle, good cheap place to dine etc etc.The hostel is situated a good minimum 20 minute walk from the old town, but once I had my bearings, public transport was easy.Basically this place is pretty good, location is not brilliant but quite easily within walking or commuting distance to main attractions. This is definitely one of the better hostels in Wroclaw and most people should enjoy their stay here.
